Why We Built It
Patent professionals often need to collect dozens or hundreds of documents quickly — for IDS filings, prior-art analysis, or research. Yet the USPTO’s official tools don’t make bulk retrieval easy.
We built PatPDFs to fill that gap: a dependable, user-friendly solution with flexible input parsing, bulk downloads, and automatic validation of publication and patent numbers.
How It Works
PatPDFs sources all documents directly from the USPTO’s official publication servers, then serves them from our own secure cache for fast and reliable access.
The documents themselves remain unaltered and authentic — identical to the official USPTO PDFs, simply delivered through an intuitive, responsive, and stable interface.
For added convenience, users can enable OCR text layers to create fully searchable copies ideal for local archiving, review, or analysis.
